Full Circle

Finally the project has come full circle.

Here is the finished board based on the haptic model created form construction scraps.

This graphic is the Velocity:Impact model.A physical model was laser cut out of sheets of acrylic and reassembled with threaded rod and machine nuts. The templates for the laser cutter can be seen on the final board.

The exploded axonametric images really help to understand the complexities of the models layering.

Digital Process Tracking

From the two digital models I had originally started with, I picked the Velocity:Impact model to fully document and reconstruct.

I took the internal structure form the original digital model and placed it within a "Glass Cube."

Doing this creates a dynamic and interesting range of vantage points of the impacting cross members.

The next step will be to create this form out of a resinous material to truly understand the modeling process.

Haptic Models - Uber Pics

Here are the best pictures taken of the Haptic models created out of
recycled constructionmaterials.

Pipe conduit, Wire, Wood, Styrofoam, Cardboard, Metals, Cords, Translucent materials, and lots of Hot Glue were used in these studies.

The models followed one of three conceptual ideas: Velocity, Time, or Networking.

These close up images define the architectural spaces created within the models. I'll be adding digital models of these models as soon as they are completed.

-Just an extra sidenote in for future construction of haptic models; Put on some good lively music(I prefer some hard rock), get a beer ready, slash burn and have fun, this is very therapudic.
